Payza (formerly known as AlertPay) fully launched May 14, 2012. As some of you may know, AlertPay has had a lot of recent issues with banking, and credit card processing. The move appears to be a success, and all accounts/balances were not lost. There are a few changes that users should be aware of, for example they no longer allow you to use exchangers. While it appears not a lot has changed, I am confident the site will deliver on their promise to make major improvements. Till then, the site will be placed on the Ongoing Investigations List.

Here are the pros and cons of this site:

Pros - The upside or positive side of the site.

Pros:

1. Unlimited Direct Referrals - Just like AlertPay you can earn through their referral program. Normally we don't review payment processors since most of them don't have one or it is useless to use. Fortunately AlertPay/Payza does work and I have been paid with their referral program in the past. (see proof below)

There are no limits on how many referrals you can have. Great for promoters and those who can refer a lot of people.

To qualify for referral earnings they must meet these qualifications:

  • Referrals must open a Payza Personal Pro or Business account.
  • Referrals must transact at least $250.00 (sending and/or receiving).
  • After your 10th referral, we will pay you $10.00 USD a referral.
  • Self-referrals, or referrals from the same IP address, will not be rewarded.

2. Forum - This payment processor does have a forum. Forums are great for communication between members and staff. Members can get support, and stay up to date on changes made to the site.

3.

4. Paid -
Tested the referral program and it does pay:

Cons - The downside or negative side of the site.

Cons:

1. Disabled Bank Transfers For Certain Areas - Depending on the method you want to cashout with, you may find that it is hard to use this payment processor. For instance, USA members can not withdraw via bank transfer. Either you have to request a check or do a bank wire. Which is not very convenient.

2. Banking Partners Issues - For over 6 months now alertpay/payza has had to disable 3 different cashout methods due to issues with their banking partners. First it was credit card withdraws:

http://blog.alertpay.com/2011/04/credit-card-withdrawals-and-validation.html
(still disabled 6 months +)

Then withdraw by check was disabled.
http://blog.alertpay.com/2011/06/check-withdrawal-temporarily_03.html (still disabled 4 months for non USA)

Then recently they disabled bank transfers for USA members. Instead they activated check withdraw to USA only. My recent bank withdraw was reversed. .

Also Visa & Master card payment option has been disabled. Which is causing issues for many site owners:

A newspaper from Montreal has reported all this is happening due to claims that questionable goods are being purchased or sold using alertpay:

3. Doubters - From time to time I receive this question. "AlertPay a scam?" Of course I am sure with the name change to payza it will change to is "Payza a scam". I will say there are some rumors floating around, most of them is when they were known as Alertpay. You can read complaints and suspicions at these places:
